Russian Railways proposed to introduce security payments for consumers

Russian Railways (RZD) has proposed to revise tariffs for 2024 and 2025. This follows from the minutes of the meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov dated February 6 (Vedomosti has the document), which was attended by Russian Railways General Director Oleg Belozerov, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov and representatives of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
The minutes indicate that RZD proposed to establish a target tariff surcharge to compensate for the costs of ensuring transport security in the amount of 1% in 2024 and 2% in 2025.
