More than 2.8 million books have been purchased for Russian libraries since 2019 as part of the Culture project, said Deputy Minister of Culture Nadezhda Rev. By the end of the year, 1,080 model municipal libraries will be modernized, and 1,050 institutions have already been updated.
“At the same time, the ministry paid great attention not only to the modernization, design and digitalization of libraries, but also, of course, to the renewal of the book fund,” said Madam Reverend following a working trip to the Samara region (quote from Interfax).
According to the deputy minister, more than 50 thousand musical instruments have been supplied to Russian children’s art schools and colleges over five years. 65% of them are Russian-made. In total, 1.5 thousand educational organizations were equipped with musical instruments.
