Russian coal is looking for a place in the future // The Ministry of Energy sees a threat to export growth plans
[ad_1]
By 2040, global demand for coal may fall by 65%, and India and China, the largest buyers of Russian coal, will become self-sufficient, according to a presentation by the analytical center of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Ministry of Energy. This may jeopardize the announced plans for the growth of coal exports from the Russian Federation, which in fact by 2040 may be dramatically reduced. To avoid this, it is recommended to reduce the cost of production and impose a moratorium on the growth of railway tariffs and taxes for the industry.
