Russian cinema extreme: Euclid Kurdzidis will talk about the undercurrents of film life

The guest of the “Star Cuisine” is Euclid Kurdzidis, Honored Artist of Russia, President of the “Crystal Spring” festival taking place in Essentuki. He was born in the Caucasus and for many years dreamed of a cultural revival of his region. It seemed that he succeeded, but life brought not the most pleasant surprises. This year, the festival he had invented unexpectedly had to be canceled, and in order to save the situation, Euclid decided against all odds to organize a program for children and teenagers, many of whom now dream of connecting their lives with cinema and have already tried to make the first small films.
Euclid Kurdzidis starred in dozens of films and will talk about how his own creative path developed. He was born into a Greek family and in the early 1990s, when the life of the whole country changed dramatically, he decided to go to his historical homeland. But on the way to Greece he stopped by Moscow, where he stayed for many years. “I got off the train and there was a feeling that this was my city, that I had lived here once,” Euclid recalls, although he did not have any acquaintances or relatives in Moscow. On the first attempt, he entered VGIK in the workshop of Anatoly Romashin. And then began a bright acting life.
On August 4 at 12.00, during a conference at the MK press center, Euclid Kurdzidis will talk about how festival business can develop in Russia and what to expect from Russian cinema in the future.
