Russian airlines were “given instructions” to provide passengers of delayed flights from Israel with all necessary services, as well as exchange and return of tickets without penalties, reported Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. The agency noted that carriers must strictly comply with Federal Aviation Regulations.
The Russian Foreign Ministry recalled that direct flights between Russia and Israel are carried out by Red Wings and Azimut airlines – they fly to Tel Aviv from Sochi, Makhachkala and Mineralnye Vody and in the opposite direction. Airlines notify passengers of schedule changes via email and SMS.
On the night of October 8, Russia introduced a restriction on night flights to Israel. The decision was made due to the “unstable military-political situation.” The Rosaviatsiya report on the restrictions also stated that “airlines have been given instructions to strictly comply with federal aviation regulations and provide passengers on delayed flights with all necessary services, as well as to return and exchange tickets without penalties.”
