Russia was able to increase the export of coking coal by 1.5 times

Deliveries of coking coal from Russia abroad in January-November 2022 increased by 47% compared to the same period last year to 30.3 million tons, two sources familiar with the statistics of the Ministry of Energy told Vedomosti. For the full year 2021, the export of coking coal, according to data on the agency’s website, amounted to 22.6 million tons.
In general, the export of Russian coal over the 11 months decreased by 7.6% year-on-year to 184.4 million tons, and the export of thermal coal fell by 13.9% to 154.2 million tons. Exports of all types of coal, including coking, in non-CIS countries decreased by 4.5% (to 178.4 million tons), in the near abroad – by 53% (to 6 million tons).
