Ministry of Energy of Russia reported on the reduction of the export schedule for August. Earlier, as part of agreements with other OPEC+ countries, Russia pledged to reduce oil exports by 500,000 barrels per day.
The department clarified that the reduction in the volume of the export schedule will affect both shipments in the direction of Russian seaports (Novorossiysk, Primorsk, Ust-Luga) and pipeline deliveries. Export through pipelines in the III quarter will amount to 2.1 million tons.
By information “Kommersant”, sea exports of Russian oil in August may fall to an annual minimum of 2.9-3 million barrels per day, mainly due to the Baltic ports.
On June 4, OPEC officially announced that the OPEC+ member countries agreed to adjust their total oil production to 40.46 million barrels per day (b / d) from 2024. As part of the agreements, Russia will extend its voluntary cut in oil production by 500,000 b/d until the end of December 2024.
