Exports of petroleum products from Russia through seaports amounted to 9.9 million tons in February, Reuters reports data from industry sources and its calculations. Exports of petroleum products through the Baltic ports of Primorsk, Vysotsk, St. Petersburg and Ust-Luga increased in February by 11.4% in daily terms, to 5.89 million tons. Through the Arctic ports of Arkhangelsk and Murmansk, deliveries fell by 33.9%, to 113.9 thousand tons. The southern ports of the Azov and Black Seas reduced transshipment by 18.8%, to 3.27 million tons. The main decrease was in the port of Tuapse – by 55.4%, to 435 thousand tons. Russian refineries stopped working in the first two months due to equipment breakdowns and external attacks. NOVATEK restored processing three weeks after the fire, on February 11, the Tuapse refinery did not resume production. The Nizhny Novgorod oil refinery was attacked again in March. Traders surveyed by Reuters believe that attacks on refineries will lead to a further reduction in exports of petroleum products. In addition, from March 1, the Russian Federation has a ban on the export of gasoline for a period of six months with a number of exceptions.
