Russian authorities are negotiating with China about the possibility of raising loans in yuan, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said. Discussions have been going on for “quite a long time”; the last time negotiations took place was at the end of 2023 at an “inter-ministerial dialogue”.

“Currently, the budget law provides for loans on the domestic market. There is a right to attract loans in yuan. Negotiations with Chinese partners have been going on for quite a long time, but there is no solution yet,” said Mr. Siluanov “RIA News”.
