Russia increased oil supplies to India by 11 times

Deliveries of Russian oil to India in January-May 2023 increased by 11 times compared to the same period last year and amounted to almost 37 million tons. This follows from the statistics of the Indian Ministry of Industry and Trade, which Vedomosti has reviewed. For five months, Russia has already delivered more than for the entire last year (33.4 million tons), follows from the statistics.

Russia remains the largest supplier of oil to India, followed by Iraq (21.4 million tons) and Saudi Arabia (17.5 million tons). The top importers in terms of supplies for the first five months of 2022 were as follows: Iraq – 15.3 million tons, Saudi Arabia – 10.4 million tons and the United Arab Emirates – almost 7 million tons of oil.
