Russia increased LPG supplies to Turkey by almost 6 times

Russia increased the supply of liquefied hydrocarbon gases (LPG, a mixture of propane and butane) to Turkey in January-June 2022 by almost 6 times to 114,200 tons, becoming the third supplier to this country after Algeria and the United States. This is stated in the analytical review of the Argus agency.
As analysts point out, gas shipments from Russia to Turkey began to grow noticeably in March 2022 due to the reorientation of export flows under sanctions pressure and the refusal of a number of European companies to purchase Russian gas shipped from the Baltic Ust-Luga (Leningrad region). Deliveries from Ust-Luga went to the Turkish ports of the Mediterranean (Dertiol) and Marmara (Yarymdzha, Ambarli) seas. In addition, LPG from Russia was delivered to Turkey through the ports of Temryuk (Sea of Azov) and Taman (Black Sea), but the growth of such shipments in the first half of the year was insignificant.
