Russia reduced the volume of investments in US government bonds from $73 million in September to $31 million in October. In November, the Russian Central Bank said that the regulator does not have American securities.
The volume of investments in American government bonds fell to the level of August, follows from materials on the US Treasury website. Then the investment amounted to $31 million, in July – $29 million, in June – $33 million.
The document indicates that the volume of long-term government bonds in October decreased to $28 million compared to $61 million in September. The size of short-term government bonds amounted to $3 million compared to $12 million a month earlier.
November 17 Bank of Russia reported, which does not hold US Treasuries and does not purchase government bonds of this country. Only the US Treasury can comment on information on the volume of investments, the Central Bank said.
