Russia delivered a record volume of oil products abroad in March

Russian oil companies in March 2023 increased the export of petroleum products by sea by 31.2% compared to March last year to 3.13 million barrels per day, follows from Kpler data, which Vedomosti has read. As a result, the March indicator became a historical record: the previous maximum export was recorded in February 2022 and amounted to 3.1 million barrels per day.
Exports are growing against the backdrop of sanctions against Russian oil products, which came into force on February 5, 2023. The EU imposed an embargo on sea shipments of oil products from Russia, and a price ceiling for them also came into force. The limit for more expensive oil products (for example, diesel fuel and gasoline) is set at $100/bbl, for cheaper ones (fuel oil) – $45/bbl.
