Russia has approved duty-free import of certain categories of agricultural products from Mongolia, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko said at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.

“We have positively resolved the issue of duty-free import of certain types of agricultural products from Mongolia into Russia,” she said (quote according to TASS).

Russia has increased its supply of cereals to Mongolia sevenfold, and animal feed by 2.5 times.

How stated Abramchenko in his Telegram channel, Mongolia is one of Russia’s key partners in Asia, and relations between the two countries “are based on a long history of friendship, mutual respect and cooperation.”
