Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov discussed the possibility of expanding the Tikhoretsk-Baku oil pipeline at the Russian Energy Week forum. This was reported on October 12 by the press service of the Russian government.
“The agenda of the negotiations includes the possibility of expanding the Tikhoretsk-Baku oil pipeline for reverse supplies of Russian oil to Azerbaijan, as well as the prospects for building technological cooperation between Russian and Azerbaijani companies within the framework of the import substitution policy,” the Russian government said in a statement.
