Net profit of the merged company Rusal (MOEX: RUAL) according to IFRS for 2023 decreased by 6.4 times, to $282 million, reports TASS and RIA Novosti agencies. Last year’s adjusted EBITDA declined 61.2% to $786 million.

According to the company’s report, Rusal’s sales increased by 6.6% in 2023, to 4.16 million tons. Adjusted profit fell 90% to $73 million.

During the reporting period, aluminum production at Rusal increased by 0.3%, amounting to 3.85 million tons. Bauxite production increased by 8.6%, to 13.38 million tons, alumina production decreased by 13.8%, to 5.13 million tons.

RUSAL is one of the world’s largest producers of primary aluminum and alumina. The company’s revenue for 2022 was $13.97 billion and net profit was $1.79 billion.
