Rostrud did not conduct an audit with respect to Wildberries, since the employees of the marketplace work outside the framework of labor relations, Ivan Shklovets, deputy head of the department, told TASS. On March 9, Wildberries introduced new rules for the owners of the pickup points, and they went on strike in response.
Rostrud believes that “these are disputes between business entities.” “We are still looking for labor relations there, if there is something within the framework of labor relations, then we will connect. And so no. We do not consider civil law (relationships),” Mr. Shklovets explained.
Wildberries announced plans to charge pickup point owners the full cost of an order if a defective or other product is found when it is returned to the warehouse. Nevertheless, in the Chelyabinsk region, the Wildberries trade union intends send an appeal to the prosecutor’s office.
