Rostransnadzor: less than 0.2% of flights in Russia are performed with expired spare parts

The share of aircraft flights in Russia with expired or expired spare parts is less than 0.2% of the total volume of flights, the value does not exceed the volume of detected violations in previous periods. This was reported by the press service of Rostransnadzor, transmits TASS.

“The volume of traffic on aircraft with these violations is less than 0.2% of the total volume of served flights and does not exceed the volume of violations detected in previous periods. These violations were also detected earlier in the activities of aviation enterprises,” the report says.

The department emphasized that flight safety in Russia is maintained “at the highest level.” They noted that no such violations were recorded in the actions of the leading Russian air carriers.

Earlier today, Kommersant, with reference to the speech of the head of Rostransnadzor Viktor Basargin informedthat in 2022, about 2,000 flights were detected in Russia, performed on foreign aircraft, equipped with expired spare parts.

At the same time, the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) acknowledged last year was the best in terms of flight safety in Russia over the past five years. Last year, 34 aircraft accidents occurred in Russia, including 13 air crashes, in which a total of 24 people died. At the same time, all cases occurred in small regional aviation, helicopter and business transportation. In commercial transportation in 2022, not a single passenger died in Russia.
