Rossiya will demand compensation for canceling a flight without a good reason

Rossiya Airlines will demand damages from passengers who refused to fly after the aircraft doors were closed without a good reason. About it informs press service of the air carrier.

“The forced measure is being introduced in connection with the increasing frequency of passenger refusals from the flight, which entail deviations from the schedule of entire chains of flights and additional costs for the carrier,” the message says.

The company noted that they highly value the time and comfort of passengers, at the same time, the refusal of some travelers from flights without a good reason puts Rossiya’s reputation at risk.

As the air carrier explained, earlier the involvement of additional personnel and equipment to remove a passenger from a flight was compensated at the expense of Rossiya. In particular, we are talking about the costs of towing the aircraft, spent fuel, baggage removal, additional inspection of the aircraft by aviation security officers, etc.

The airline reminded that the passenger can change his mind to fly until the aircraft doors are closed. However, after that, the traveler has the right to refuse the flight only in case of a threat to his life or health. If the passenger does not want to fly for another reason and does not listen to the requirements of the crew, then his behavior is a violation of the rules of conduct on board the aircraft, the press service specified.
