Rosselkhoznadzor banned the supply of dairy products from Kyrgyzstan to the Russian Federation

Rosselkhoznadzor from today, April 21, has banned the supply of dairy products from Kyrgyzstan due to its inadequate quality. The agency said that it resorted to this measure after an inspection of dairy production enterprises in Kyrgyzstan from April 10 to 16 and a visit to the local raw material base (farms and milk collection points).

As a result, the Rosselkhoznadzor considered the work of the Kyrgyz authorities “to ensure and confirm the quality and safety” of exported products to be ineffective. In particular, there is no “proper state epizootic monitoring”, and most of the indicators provided for by the legislation of Russia and the EAEU are not included in the laboratory research plan. Rosselkhoznadzor explained that Kyrgyz enterprises do not have a traceability system for the origin of raw materials, and companies use milk without documents and store products without labeling.

“Rosselkhoznadzor informed the Veterinary Service of Kyrgyzstan of the need to suspend the certification of dairy products from all Kyrgyz producers to Russian recipients from April 21, 2023,” the statement said. press release departments.
