Rosneft announced plans to regularly place bonds in yuan

“Rosneft» plans to regularly place bonds in yuan with various maturities. This was announced by the director of the department of structured financing and debt obligations of NC “Rosneft» Alexey Lizunov.

“We plan to continue to regularly enter the primary market with bonds in yuan with different terms,” he said (quote according to TASS). According to Lizunov, in this way the company wants to increase the efficiency of pricing for new issues of debt instruments.

September 2022Rosneft» posted debut bond issue in Chinese yuan totaling 15 billion yuan. The bond issue has an offer in two years at a rate of 3.05% per annum.

In addition, in March posted the second issue of bonds in yuan, the first coupon rate of 10-year bonds with an offer in a year was 3.5% per annum, the placement volume was 15 billion yuan. The nominal value of one bond is 1,000 yuan. The collection of applications was held on March 15, and technical placement – on March 20.

This placement was the largest among the issues of corporate bonds in the Russian market in its entire history, said the senior analyst “BCS investment world” Ronald Smith.
