Rosgeologiya is negotiating participation in geological exploration projects for polymetallic ores in Saudi Arabia, the general director of the state holding Sergei Gorkov told reporters on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week (REW-2023) forum. He noted that in this country the reserves of polymetallic ores are poorly studied, but there are many promising areas. According to him, we are mainly talking about reserves of copper, zinc and gold.
“We see 13 blocks that are quite promising. We offer [Саудовской Аравии] active work on exploration and subsequent attraction of investors to development,” Gorkov said, answering a question from Vedomosti. He added that in the future Russian metallurgical companies may take part in the development of the blocks.
