Rosaviatsia: Authorities allocate 172 billion rubles of subsidies to the aviation industry in 2022

Deputy head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Vladimir Poteshkin summed up the preliminary results of passenger air transportation. Results of the year and prospects for operating activities of companies in 2023 discussed at a meeting of the working group on December 27 with the participation of representatives of 24 leading Russian airlines. At the meeting, it was noted that the state had allocated 172 billion rubles. to support civil aviation.

“In 2022, the state allocated funds in the amount of 172 billion rubles from the federal budget. to support civil aviation, which are brought to the recipients and mastered in full,”— informs Rosaviatsia following the meeting.

It is expected that, despite the restrictions on flights in the south of the country and in the regions bordering Ukraine, as well as sanctions pressure, according to the results of 2022, Russian airlines will achieve their planned air transportation targets. The Federal Air Transport Agency will provide the necessary assistance for the development of domestic and international transportation.

In April, the government allocated 100 billion rubles. to support the Russian aviation industry against the backdrop of sanctions and restrictions. In the summer, it was reported that subsidies for domestic air travel in Russia received 32 companies.

In mid-November, the Federal Air Transport Agency redistributed between the companies 3 billion rubles, “saved”, including on Utair: Aeroflot received 524 million rubles. (requested 2.3 billion rubles), Ural Airlines – 637 million rubles. (2.8 billion rubles), S7 – 968 million rubles. (9.9 billion rubles). The total amount of distributed funds after the selection of applicants for savings increased to 99.9 billion rubles. RUB 91 billion was listed airlines through September.
