Rolling Stones release new single Sweet Sounds Of Heaven

The intrigue with the new Rolling Stones album is beginning to acquire details. Some time ago, the first single called Angry was released, and just the other day the Stones released another song – Sweet Sounds Of Heaven.

The new track lifted the curtain on rumors about Lady Gaga’s participation in the recording. The pop diva actually recorded vocals for the song; in addition, the legendary Stevie Wonder took part in the track, playing keyboards. The result was booming gospel music in the spirit of old Stones hits like You Can’t Always Get What You Want, which was released in the late sixties.

As a rule, songs in which guest celebrities participate are recorded remotely: the “guests” receive their parts, perform them at home or in their studios, and then send them for final mixing. But the Rolling Stones decided to remember the old days and played in the studio with Stevie Wonder, and Lady Gaga sang there. The shoulder-to-shoulder recording certainly affects the atmosphere of the song itself, and old-school fans will probably feel all the analog charm of Sweet Sounds Of Heaven.

The band members, among other things, are preparing for a deal to sell copyrights to a catalog of albums released after 1971. Such wholesale trade in what belongs to the group (in the seventies, a very confusing system of registration of authorship led to the fact that at the moment the Stones do not have the rights to all their music, including quite well-known hits) can bring a very decent amount, but Mig Jagger in An interview with the Wall Street Journal hinted at his intention to give the money to charity.

Given the musician’s age, proceeds from the sale of rights could become part of the inheritance of his eight children. But the rock star sees the situation differently. “Children don’t need five hundred million dollars to live well,” he said in an interview and added. “It’s better to bring some benefit to the world.”
