The Moskovsky District Court of St. Petersburg, at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, reclaimed the assets of the largest car dealer in Russia, Rolf, in favor of the state, a Kommersant correspondent reports from the courtroom. The claim, accepted for proceedings on January 16, was fully satisfied.

According to the court decision, all shares of Rolf JSC, owned by the private company Delance Limited and Rolf Motors LLC, as well as 100% of the shares in the authorized capital of Rolf Motors LLC, Rolf Estate St. Petersburg LLC, LLC, are transferred to the state income Rolf Tech. The total value of the holding’s assets being recovered is approximately estimated at 60 billion rubles.

In January “Kommersant” found out, that a lawsuit for the recovery of Rolf shares to the state was filed by Deputy Prosecutor General Igor Tkachev. The lawsuit stated that, while a deputy from A Just Russia, the founder of the car dealer, Sergei Petrov, continued to illegally own and manage a group of companies. To do this, according to the prosecutor’s office, Mr. Petrov fictitiously registered the business in the name of his son Alexander, but continued to personally manage the company.

The decision to recover the shares was made as part of the case of conspiracy between Sergei Petrov and the heads of companies controlled by him. The investigation believes that in 2014, Mr. Petrov withdrew 4 billion rubles abroad. through the sale to Rolf of shares of the Rolf Estate company at an inflated amount. Investigators consider the main participant in the deal to be Anatoly Kairo, a former member of the board of directors of Rolf. In September 2023 the court sentenced him to eight and a half years in a general regime colony.

Sergei Petrov himself has been on the international wanted list since 2019. After leaving Russia, he received Austrian citizenship. Austrian authorities refused to extradite him to Russia.
