Riot police disrupted the Zero People concert in St. Petersburg after “anti-Russian words”

In St. Petersburg, security forces disrupted the performance of the Zero People group, which appeared at the concert venue shortly before the start of the event. As spectators reported, riot police first made everyone present in the hall sit on the floor, then they began checking documents.

Shot assertsthat the group was being “checked for fraud” because “they were selling VIP tickets but not giving any benefits.”

At the same time Baza writes, that “the reason for the appearance of the security forces was the anti-Russian statements” of Alexander Krasovitsky, one of the leaders of the group. “Fontanka” indicatesthat the group “at one time did not actively support the military operation in Ukraine.” The publication also notes that “Krasovitsky did not hide the fact that he did not support the conduct of hostilities,” and even before 2022, the artists “did not schedule performances in Crimea.”

According to spectators, after checking their documents, people gradually begin to be released from the hall. At the same time, a video of the harsh detention of a woman who had a conflict with one of the security forces appeared on social networks. Judging by the footage, the spectator – perhaps not very sober – expressed her dissatisfaction with the riot police due to the fact that she paid for the ticket, and the long-awaited concert was disrupted. The security officer did not understand the woman’s disobedience: “I have a weapon! Don’t you understand or what?” According to the video recordings, the riot policeman pressed the woman against the wall in the corner; she demanded to take his hands off her and tried to kick her opponent.
