According to preliminary data, in 2023 the revenue of Russian IT companies increased by 43% and amounted to 5.5 trillion rubles. The head of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation, Maksut Shadayev, announced this at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications.

“Revenue from the implementation of domestic solutions amounted to 2.8 billion rubles. (+31% for 2023). The number of specialists increased by almost 13% and amounted to 857 thousand people. The share of the IT industry in GDP has approached 2%. Growth by 1.5 times over 5 years,” the minister quotes Telegram– ministry channel. Mr. Shadayev added that compared to 2019, the revenue of IT companies increased by 2.6 times. According to him, revenue growth is facilitated by the effective development of domestic solutions and their implementation.

March 20 government canceled a moratorium on antimonopoly inspections of IT companies, which has been in effect since March 2022. As the Ministry of Digital Development explained, this will affect only a few companies. We can talk about Yandex.Taxi, Wildberries and Ozon. The companies themselves do not believe that lifting the moratorium will have a negative impact on trade.
