Reuters: Musk plans to find a new head for Twitter

The new owner of the social network Twitter, American entrepreneur Elon Musk said that he plans to find a new manager for the company, transmits Reuters. Musk made such a statement in response to the concerns of Tesla investors, who claim that the entrepreneur spends too much time changing the social network.

Musk said that in this way he wants to minimize the time he spends organizing work in the company. He also noted that he plans to complete all changes in the organizational structure by the end of this week.

At the same time, Musk will continue to manage Twitter until the social network takes a strong position, although this will “take some time,” he said later in his account.

Musk closed the $44 billion acquisition of Twitter on October 27. After that, he made a number of personnel changes. In particular, Musk dismissed Twitter’s board of directors, fired Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal and chief legal officer Vijaya Gadde.

The day before, November 16, he put forward a new ultimatum to the company’s employees: he suggested that they start working “intensively” or quit. In his first letter to employees, Musk warned about “the difficult times ahead” and announced a ban on remote work. He stressed the impact of the economic outlook on a company as dependent on advertising revenue as Twitter. As part of the new rules, employees must be in the office for at least 40 hours a week. Musk will only make exceptions in special cases.

The Washington Post previously reported that Twitter has decided to raise the monthly subscription fee for Twitter Blue from $4.99 to $19.99. On the same day, in his account, Musk offered to pay $8 per month for a verification badge on the platform. The new owner of Twitter also noted that the checkbox will allow users to post long videos and audios and will cut the number of ads in half.
