A group of northern EU countries, led by Germany, opposes the introduction of a gas price ceiling. On November 24, EU energy ministers intend to discuss a plan to combat the energy crisis. So far, the European regulator has refused to immediately cap gas prices, instead proposing to launch a new benchmark for liquefied natural gas, a dynamic price ceiling on the TTF hub and mandatory joint fuel purchases for European companies.
