The regional departments of Rospotrebnadzor received instructions to carry out supervisory measures against cider producers and distributors, as well as catering establishments and shops selling this drink. This is stated in a letter from the Association of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Vedomosti got acquainted with a copy of their complaint. A government spokesman confirmed receipt of the appeal. Rospotrebnadzor did not answer the question about the presence of any guidelines regarding cider, specifying only that any verification activities in relation to the listed entities can be carried out only upon agreement or at the initiative of the prosecutor’s office. The Prosecutor General’s Office did not respond to Vedomosti’s request.
