Budget revenues of the Krasnodar Territory from the payment of resort fees in 2023 amounted to 742.19 million rubles, the press service of the Ministry of Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage of the region told Kommersant. This is 0.65% less than in 2022, when revenues amounted to 747.03 million rubles. The reduction is due to the fact that in the federal territory (FT) Sirius the resort fee was not collected from December 2022 to April 2023.

The number of tourists who paid resort fees in 2023 was 3.1 million people, in 2022 – 3.6 million people. Resort fees in the Krasnodar Territory are collected in 17 municipalities, including in the resort cities of Sochi, Anapa, Gelendzhik, in the cities of Goryachiy Klyuch, Tuapse, Yeisk, Novorossiysk, in the federal territory of Sirius, as well as in rural settlements of the Tuapse region ( seaside villages of Shepsi, Nebug, Dzhubga, etc.) and Mostovsky district (mountain resort areas). The experiment in collecting a resort fee in the region began in 2018, initially the fee was 10 rubles. per day. Currently in Sochi the fee is 50 rubles. per day, in other territories – 30 rubles. per day.

The Ministry of Resorts clarified that without taking into account revenues from the Sirius FT, the increase in tax contributions from the resort fee amounted to 123.8%, which corresponds to the growth in tourist flow, as well as the results of the work carried out in 2023 to include new entrepreneurs in the register of resort fee operators and organizations providing services for temporary accommodation and accommodation of people.

Resort tax funds are credited to the regional budget and accumulated in a special fund, from where they are directed to the development of resort infrastructure. In the Krasnodar Territory, 20 categories of beneficiaries are exempt from paying the fee, including all residents of the region.
