Regular flights between Vladivostok and Harbin resumed three years later

Vladivostok Airport resumed regular flights to Chinese Harbin, which were suspended in early 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This was announced by the Governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako.
“We are leaving on the first regular flight with a business mission. The program is intense. High-level meetings in Harbin and Beijing,” wrote Oleg Kozhemyako in his Telegram-channel. In the future, flights will be operated by Aurora Airlines three times a week. Together with Mr. Kozhemyako, an official delegation from the seaside went to Harbin.
The governor noted that the visit to Harbin will allow establishing relations directly with the border provinces of Jilin, Heilongjiang, and will also help build up Russian-Chinese trade relations and tourist exchanges.
“We are ahead of the task of establishing contacts, building the road that will enable the inhabitants of our region to fully use all the potential that China has. Well, we know how attractive Primorye is for Chinese tourists, for business, so this dialogue, this trip will provide opportunities for broader cooperation between our region and border provinces,” said Mr. Kozhemyako.
Regular flights between the two cities were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic three years ago. In November 2022, flights between Khabarovsk and Harbin were launched. Also from March 28, flights on the Vladivostok-Beijing route of the Aurora airline will be resumed. Aircraft will take off three times a week: two flights on Tuesday and one on Saturday.
