Red Wings denies violations on the flight, because of which the ICR opened the case – Kommersant

The Red Wings airline stated that it did not violate safety requirements during the flight from Antalya to Moscow. The company made such a statement after the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) opened a criminal case in connection with the actions of the Red Wings. Case was initiated on the fact of the provision of unsafe services during the transportation of passengers by the Red Wings airline (part 1 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The reason was the incident on August 13, when 406 passengers of the Antalya-Moscow flight were transported by plane with a faulty air conditioning system.
“Red Wings Airlines confirms that all three Boeing-777 aircraft in the fleet are operational and operating. Safety has always been and remains a top priority for the airline. We cannot put the health and lives of passengers at risk. Any suspicion of a technical malfunction leads to a decision to delay the flight for a thorough clarification of the causes and elimination of the malfunction, ”said Sergey Nikolaev, director of ground support for Red Wings airline (quoted from Telegram channel companies).
This is the second case in two days concerning the activities of the airline. Former head of the TFR Alexander Bastrykin instructed initiate a case due to the fact that for several days she could not take the Ural tourists from Antalya (Turkey) to Yekaterinburg. The Red Wings reported that the delay of both flights was due to the failure of two of the three Boeing 777 aircraft.
