Real estate agency Savills left the Russian business

Luxury real estate agency Savills has decided to leave the Russian market, informs agency “RIA Novosti” with reference to the press service of the company. The local division will continue to work in the country, but under a different brand – Intermark Real Estate, under which it began work in 1993.
“For 16 years, from 2006 to 2022, the company has been operating under the brand name of the international corporation Savills. Since 2022, we have returned to the Intermark Real Estate brand with a new store of knowledge and tremendous experience in the structure of the largest foreign real estate agency, while maintaining a high international level of competencies,” the message says.
According to the managing partner of Intermark Real Estate, Dmitry Khalin, Savills’ departure from Russia is connected with political events. At the same time, the company assured that the staff will not change, and the main activities of the agency will not change either. Savills exit from the Russian market will only affect the name of the company and its affiliation with a global player.
The Savills agency has been in existence since 1855 and has offices in more than 70 countries. The company’s head office is located in London. In 2006, Intermark Real Estate was affiliated and renamed Intermark Savills, and since 2016 the company has finally changed its name to Savills.
