Andrey Shokin’s RBE Group is engaged in catering, providing meals to more than 100 large companies, including Transmashholding, UMMC, Mostotrest, as well as Sapsan trains and the Federal Passenger Company (part of JSC Russian Railways). After the cessation of cooperation between government agencies and Concord, RBE Group began to provide power to the structures of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation (see “Kommersant” dated October 5, 2023). The RBE Group explained to Kommersant that the complex in Reutov is necessary to fulfill contracts with the Moscow Health Department to provide subordinate institutions with hot meals and rations. According to its own data, the group also has enterprises in Moscow and in the village of Metallostroy near St. Petersburg with a total capacity of 5 tons, or 20 thousand ready-made rations per day.
A Kommersant source in the corporate catering market believes that RBE Group may take control of some other enterprises that were managed by Concord. In 2011, RBC reported that the Concord – Culinary Line kitchen factory in Yanino, Leningrad Region, had reached full capacity, producing about 100 thousand units of product per day. According to Mr. Burmistrov, most of the contracts for 2024 have already been concluded, but by the end of this year, when contracts for the provision of food in 2025 will be concluded, some of the RBE Group’s facilities may be unloaded. RestCon CEO Elena Perepelitsa also speaks about this, warning that a repeat of the situation in 2013 is possible for the group.
