RBC: the main shareholder of the global truck carrier is ready to sell the business

Alexander Eliseev, the main owner and co-founder of the automobile carrier Globaltruck, is negotiating the sale of the group’s business, reports RBC with reference to sources. The potential buyer is the Monopoly transport and logistics group.
Currently, the value of the controlling stake owned by Mr. Eliseev is estimated on the Moscow Exchange at 2.589 billion rubles. According to the interlocutor of RBC, the entrepreneur can receive a large amount as a result of the transaction.
According to the publication, the owners of Globaltruck wanted to put the company up for sale since the middle of last year. At the beginning of April, the signing of binding documents is planned within a few weeks.
Now the Globaltruck fleet has more than 1,240 trucks, the average cost of one of them is over 10 million rubles, the report says.
Representatives of the potential buyer of the company – the Monopoly group – have not yet commented on a possible deal.
Globaltruck’s IFRS revenue for 9M 2022 amounted to RUB 9.418 billion. (+7.7%). In particular, the group’s turnover from operating its own fleet is 6.63 billion rubles. (+2.1%), from forwarding – 2.788 billion rubles. (+23.7%). The company did not disclose other financial indicators for 9 months.
