RBC learned about plans to leave Russia for McDonald’s logistics partner

Logistics company Havi Logistics plans to leave Russia, sources say RBC. It is argued that one of the options for localizing a business is the transfer of assets to Russian management. In Russia, the company provided the purchase, storage, processing and delivery of products to McDonald`s restaurants.
International Havi Logistics provides logistics services not only to McDonald`s, but also to such companies as British Petroleum, IKEA, Nordsee. In Russia, Havi Logistics was represented by OOO Rulog. This company was founded in 2003, its founder is Havi Global Logistics GmbH registered in Germany. The CEO is a Russian citizen Christian Novak. Revenue at the end of 2021 amounted to 70 billion, net profit – 13 million rubles. As of 2015 (latest available data), there were ten Havi Logistics distribution centers in Russia.
Having bought McDonald`s restaurants in the Russian Federation, Vkusno – i Tochka announced that it continues to cooperate with the Rulog company. The executive director of Rusprodsoyuz, Dmitry Vostrikov, told RBC that a representative of Havi Logistics also provided restaurants with glasses and disposable tableware. In addition, according to Mr. Vostrikov, Rulog had a contract for the transportation of ready-made food with Auchan and several clients in the HoReCa segment (a segment of the service sector in which the buyer consumes goods at the point of sale).
McDonald’s officially announced about leaving Russia on May 16. The company was acquired by the Kuzbass businessman Alexander Govor. The network was renamed “Tasty – and that’s it.”
