At the same time, according to RBC, 3M plans to sell only production facilities, there is no talk of transferring production technologies. In this case, the value of the assets could be about $20-25 million, Burmistrov added.
3M was founded in 1902. It manufactures respirators, adhesive tapes, ear plugs, medical equipment, etc. The representative office of the company appeared in Russia in 1992. In 2008, the construction of the 3M plant in Volokolamsk was completed, where construction respirators are now produced. In 2015, an enterprise began operating in the Alabuga SEZ in Tatarstan, where products are mainly produced for the oil and gas industry. In addition, Russian factories produce anti-corrosion coatings, materials for car repairs and solutions for fire extinguishing systems.
