Raw milk will be traded on the Russian stock exchange for the first time

Starting October 2, Ekonova Group of Companies will begin trading on the National Commodity Exchange (NTB, part of the Moscow Exchange group) in raw and skimmed milk powder (SML), as well as butter. A representative of the group, which is the largest player in this market, told Vedomosti about this. NTB said they had nothing to add to the company’s information.
At the moment, grains (wheat, barley, corn), various oils and meals, as well as sugar are already traded on NTB among agricultural products. Plans to begin trading in raw milk became known in January 2023. Then the National Union of Milk Producers (Soyuzmoloko) and NTB reported that they were working on this issue.
