Rapper Killer Mike (Michael Santiago Render), who won three awards at the Grammy Awards, was led away by police in handcuffs immediately after the ceremony. The Hollywood Reporter’s Chris Gardner reported this on his X account.

He published a video of the artist’s arrest. According to the journalist’s source, the rapper was detained due to a minor offense, and “will probably be released as soon as everything is settled.” The police later confirmed that a man was detained at the ceremony for fighting and is being questioned. Law enforcement agencies did not provide the name of the detainee or any details.

Killer Mike took home awards for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for “Scientists & Engineers,” as well as Best Rap Album for “Michael.” He also won a Grammy in 2003 for the song “OutKast The Whole World.”
