RAO filed a lawsuit against Kirkorov for copyright infringement during the performance of 13 songs

The Russian copyright society filed a claim with the Moscow Arbitration Court against singer Philip Kirkorov for 2 million rubles. for violating the rights of authors and composers of 13 songs that he performed at the State Kremlin Palace in April 2022. RAO claims that the singer did not pay remuneration to the authors of 13 songs that he performed in the Kremlin from April 27 to April 30, 2022. According to the press service, the organization repeatedly offered Philip Kirkorov to resolve the situation and negotiated with him, but this had no effect.
According to information in the file of court cases, the claim was filed in court on December 28. Now the case file does not indicate when the first hearing in the case will take place.
On December 21, Philip Kirkorov took part in the “almost naked” party of TV presenter Anastasia Ivleeva, which took place in the Moscow club Mutabor. Videos from the party spread on social networks, and Russian officials drew attention to them. Philip Kirkorov, Anastasia Ivleeva and several other guests of the event (Dima Bilan, Ksenia Sobchak and Lolita) published an apology video.
After the party, Philip Kirkorov began to be cut off from television and cancel his concerts. In particular, the artist was removed from the official poster of the film “Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Everything,” and the TNT channel reshot scenes with the singer. Also a speech by Philip Kirkorov cut out from “Christmas Evening with Grigory Leps” on Channel One.
December 28 RAO also filed claim against the Mutabor club for 537 thousand rubles. As a TASS interlocutor explained, there was previously a contract between RAO and Art Center for the use of a number of tracks during events in Mutabor. The plaintiff believes that the defendant is behind on music payments and demands compensation. Earlier today, January 10, the Lefortovo Court of Moscow suspended the work of the Mutabor club for 90 days. The reason was violations of sanitary and epidemiological requirements.
