Radisson and Olympia Garden hotels will move under the Cosmos Hotel Group brand – Kommersant

The Cosmos Hotel Group hotel chain, which is part of the AFK Sistema group (MOEX: AFKS), will unite its Radisson and Olympia Garden hotels under its brand.

“In October we are launching a large-scale rebranding of 10 hotels that previously operated under the Radisson Blu, Park Inn by Radisson and Olympia Garden brands. In accordance with the long-term franchising agreement reached with Radisson Hotel Group, nine hotels will begin operating under the Cosmos brands in collaboration with Radisson Individuals,” the company said (quoted by “RIA News”).

In February Cosmos Hotel Group bought it out ten hotels from the Norwegian company Wenaas Hotel Russia AS. The transaction amount was €200 million.

The decision to extend cooperation with the international chain Radisson Hotel Group was made based on the strategy of the Russian company. Its goal, as the company clarified, is to consolidate the Cosmos Hotel Group as a leader in the hotel industry in the country.
