Putin instructed to discuss the use of Russian cars in carsharing and taxi

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to consider developing requirements for the localization of car production for use in taxis and car sharing. The document is published on the website Kremlin.
“Consider the development and application of requirements for the localization of the production of cars used in the provision of services for the transportation of passengers by passenger taxis and car sharing services,” the statement said.
The government should take into account the possible volume of car production in Russia, as well as, if necessary, amend the legislation.
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has been appointed responsible for the order. A progress report must be submitted by August 1, 2023. The instruction was given following the meeting of the Presidium of the State Council of Russia, which took place on April 4, 2023.
