Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to submit proposals by May 20 to clarify the procedure for paying part of the profits of legal entities to shareholders from unfriendly countries. Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin was appointed responsible for the implementation of the order, follows from a message on site Kremlin.
The corresponding instruction was prepared following the results of the plenary session of the congress and the meeting of the president with members of the bureau of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).
The RSPP congress with the participation of Vladimir Putin took place on March 16. At the event, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov announced, in particular, the government’s plans to ease capital restrictions for non-residents (both from friendly and unfriendly countries) if they entered the Russian market after the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine and the imposition of sanctions.
According to Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, we are talking about the ability of foreigners to withdraw invested money from the Russian Federation: among other things, concessions may affect the operation of type C accounts – now the funds of foreign companies in rubles are blocked there (mainly dividends from investments in Russian companies), which can be be used only to pay taxes or buy OFZs. Now the government commission can individually approve their conversion or the payment of dividends to ensure the continued operation of companies in Russia.
