Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decree on the transfer of five printing houses of the Norwegian holding Amedia under the temporary management of the Moscow government. Previously, these printing houses were managed by the Federal Property Management Agency.

Moscow authorities will manage printing houses located in the capital, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Voronezh and Novosibirsk. The Moscow Government, by presidential decree, received 3.6 thousand ordinary shares of Prime Print Moscow JSC, 140 thousand ordinary shares of Prime Print Yekaterinburg JSC, 700 shares of Prime Print Novosibirsk JSC, 6.7 thousand shares of Prime JSC print Chelyabinsk” and 56% of shares in the authorized captain of JSC Prime Print Voronezh.

In April 2022, Amedia left Russia. After leaving Russia, the Norwegian holding transferred its share in the Voronezh and Novosibirsk printing houses to minority shareholders. Prime Print in Voronezh went to the co-owner of the Svobodnaya Pressa publishing house, Alexander Lapin. Prime Print in Novosibirsk was first transferred to Shkulev Media Holding, and then to Sovetskaya Sibir JSC. All shareholder rights of the remaining four printing houses (Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg) were transferred to the former editor-in-chief of Novaya Gazeta Dmitry Muratov (included in the register of foreign agents). September 18, President Vladimir Putin passed on all printing houses owned by Amedia are under the management of the Federal Property Management Agency.
