Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree extending the ban on transactions with shares of foreigners from unfriendly countries in strategic companies until the end of 2023. Document published on the official portal of legal information.
A presidential decree amends the August 5 document on special economic measures. The decree was valid until December 31, 2022 and has now been extended until December 31, 2023 inclusive.
In the original document signed back in August, a direct ban was introduced, in particular, on transactions with shares in the Sakhalin-1 project and the Kharyaginskoye field. In November, the president approved a list of 191 companies whose transactions with foreign shares are allowed only with special permission.
