Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a list of 45 banks, transactions in which can only be carried out with special permission. The list of banks in which it is impossible to make transactions with shares of foreigners from unfriendly countries includes Raiffeisenbank, Unicredit, Citibank, Deutsche Bank and OTP Bank.
August 5 Vladimir Putin until December 31, 2022 banned transactions with shares of foreigners from unfriendly countries in Russian strategic enterprises and banks. The document stated that transactions made bypassing it are invalidated. In this case, operations can be carried out on the basis of a special permission of the president.
The list of countries unfriendly to Russia includes Australia, Albania, Andorra, Bahamas, Great Britain, EU countries, Iceland, Canada, Liechtenstein, Micronesia, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, South Korea, San Marino, North Macedonia, Singapore, USA, Taiwan , Ukraine, Montenegro, Switzerland and Japan.
