Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the Governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako said that the term of the Far East mortgage is being extended. Earlier, Aleksey Chekunkov, head of the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, asked the president to extend the program.
“We are extending the term there,” the head of state commented on the proposal voiced by the governor of Primorye to extend the program (TASS quote).
The Far East program allows borrowers to take out a mortgage loan at a rate of 2% for the entire loan term when building or purchasing housing in the Far Eastern Federal District. The operator of the program is Dom.RF.
