“Today, Gazprom demonstrates high responsibility in its work, efficiency and sustainability. Despite unfair, frankly speaking, competition, direct attempts from the outside to prevent and restrain its development, Gazprom is moving forward, launching new projects,” he said.
This is, in particular, about geological exploration and production, deep processing of raw materials, participation in the construction of the Northern Latitudinal Railway and other transport infrastructure, the head of state noted.
Gazprom, Putin noted, was created at a difficult time, and the decision to keep it as a single complex turned out to be strategically correct. All these 30 years, the company has supported other industries and entire regions, the president added.
“Gas has been and will continue to be a valuable resource for a very, very long time, a real asset, the demand for which will only grow,” Putin said.
