President Vladimir Putin discussed with Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova the work of the Ministry of Culture in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. At the meeting, Olga Lyubimova reported that 1,600 children’s art schools and 77 museums had opened in these regions.
“Olga Borisovna, let’s start with what is happening in the regions through your ministry,” the president said (quoted from website Kremlin. According to the minister, initially there were two operating cinema halls for four regions. “Two cinema halls for four regions?” asked Vladimir Putin. Now, according to the minister, there are 51 cinemas operating in the annexed regions.
As Olga Lyubimova reported, Russia organized 140 circus performances in Mariupol and Lugansk, which were watched by more than 70 thousand spectators. In addition, Russian orchestras donated 120 wonderful musical instruments and 200 new costumes to the annexed regions.
Olga Lyubimova spoke about the development of 13 children’s centers in these regions. According to her, at the end of 2024, as part of the national project “Culture” of the Ministry of Culture, we must renovate 72 children’s theaters. The minister also reported to the president about the opening of the Peterhof Museum-Reserve of the Local History Museum in the LPR on September 5.
